Join Paragon as we journey to the imperial cities of Vienna and Prague. You’ll view medieval castles, lost-in-time Renaissance village, towering cathedrals, great entertainment, plus shopping in traditional Christmas Markets.

 

Day 1: Fly Overnight to Vienna, Austria
One this fabulous nine day tour you'll explore the sights and sounds of Spain.

Day 2: Arrive Vienna, Austria
Today, you’ll arrive in the grand capital city of Vienna, once the center of the mighty Hapsburg Empire. Your accommodations for the next three evenings are provided at the Hilton Danube. This evening, dinner is provided at your hotel. (D)

Day 3: Vienna Local Touring
A special guided tour takes you to Schönborn Palace, the Versailles of Vienna. This spectacular 1441 room palace was the summer retreat for the Hapsburg dynasty for hundreds of years. You’ll also discover the Gothic St. Stephen’s to view the intricate altar pieces and magnificent sculptures. You’ll love Vienna’s architecture, scenic parks and cozy cafes. This afternoon, you’re free to explore Vienna’s popular Christmas Markets located throughout the city. This evening, enjoy a special concert performed by the Schönborn Palace Orchestra. (B)

Day 4: Mariazell
This morning, we journey to the magical mountain town of Mariazell, the most important pilgrimage site in Austria. Here you’ll visit the “Hauptplatz” where the famed Basilica of Mariazell dominates the skyline and where one of Austria’s most enchanting Christmas Markets takes place. You’ll have ample time to discover Mariazell and its fabulous Christmas Market before returning back to Vienna where dinner is provided. (B,D)

Day 5: Prague, Czech Republic
This morning, we travel the picturesque countryside to the “hundred spired” capital city of the “Czech Republic.” Prague is considered one of the world’s most beautiful cities, offering its visitors a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Your accommodations are provided at Clarion Hotel Prague Old Town for the next three nights. (B,D)

Day 6: Prague Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a fabulous sightseeing tour of this most impressive city. You’ll see Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Town, the Astronomical Clock, as well as Charles Bridge. The remainder of your day is at leisure to explore this charming city and its wonderful Christmas Market situated in the Old Town Square. (B)

Day 7: Prague
The last day of your tour is completely at leisure to explore Prague’s many museums and shopping opportunities. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, followed by a special Christmas concert. (B,D)

Day 8: Depart for Home
You’ll be transferred to Prague’s airport and return home with fond memories of your imperial cities vacation. (B)
