Day
1: Arrive
San Diego Discover all the splendor of California's scenic coast
from San Diego to San Francisco plus Yosemite on this spectacular nine
day program. Today you'll jet away to sunny California and the beautiful
city of San Diego. Your accommodations for the next two evenings are provided
at the Bayside Inn located in downtown San Diego. This evening dinner
is included. (D)
Day
2: City Tour / Zoo Option This morning enjoy a local tour of San Diego, including the Gaslamp Quarter, Old Town, Coronado Island, and Balboa Park. The rest of your
day is free to explore this famed city on your own. Your tour director will be available to help you with
all your individual plans to experience this fabulous area. (B)

3: Mann's Chinese Theatre This morning you'll travel north on
California's coast to Los Angeles and the world famous Hollywood area.
You'll view the stars' famous shoeprints at Mann's Chinese Theater as
well as Sunset Strip and Rodeo Drive. Next, you'll have the option of visiting either Universal Studios* where you can take an interesting tram ride to see where some of Hollywood's greatest
movies were made; or visit the Getty Museum where you can view exhibits of Greek and Roman antiquities, European paintings, and sculptures. Later, check into the popular Sportsmen's Lodge Hotel
ideally located on famed Ventura Boulevard. (B, D)
Day
4: Solvang / Pismo Beach
This morning you'll
continue traveling north along the coastal highway past Malibu to the
picturesque mission town of Santa Barbara. A photo stop will be made
at Mission Santa Barbara before continuing on to Solvang - California's
only authentic Danish settlement. Here, you'll be free to wander the
many interesting Scandinavian handicraft shops and bakeries nestled
amid windmills and quaint buildings with their charming carved eaves
and green copper roofs. This evening you'll reside at the charming
Spyglass Inn located near Pismo Beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

5: Hearst Castle / 17 Mile Drive
Our day of touring begins with
a visit to the magnificent Hearst Castle, considered by many to be the
most beautiful dwelling in America. As you tour this splendid mansion,
you'll view antiques and art treasures from all around the world. Next,
you'll make the thrilling drive along panoramic, rocky coastlines from
Big Sur to Carmel including 17-Mile Drive. This evening, you'll overnight in the Monterey area. Dinner is included tonight at a popular restaurant on Monterey's
famed Fisherman's Wharf. (B, D)
Day
6:
Yosemite National Park
Today you'll travel across
the verdant farmlands of the San Joaquin Valley to the slopes of the
Sierras and on to Yosemite National Park. The remainder of your day
is free to explore the majestic sequoia trees, roaring waterfalls, towering
mountains, and scenery that is nothing short of spectacular. This evening,
you'll overnight in Yosemite View Lodge. (B)
Day
7:
San Francisco Tour
Today you'll depart the park
and begin another scenic drive through forests of giant pine and into
the exciting city of San Francisco. This afternoon, you'll tour the
"City by the Bay" and discover Chinatown, Union Square, Mission
Dolores, Fisherman's Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge and more.
Your accommodations for the next two evenings will be at the Hilton San Francisco, centrally located in downtown San Francisco, close to the
shops in Union Square, and the city's famed cable car line. (B)
Day
8: Free Day Your whole day is at leisure for you to
explore this truly beautiful city on your own. This evening enjoy a memorable
dinner on Fisherman's Wharf. (D)

9: Depart for Home Today you will be transported home.
